So I've been exhausted with spring vacation, socializing, and tests in school, which meant it took me awhile to get through this book. The Bell Jar was a wonderful story, and I've been meaning to read it for so so long. It centers around a girl named Esther, who begins to battle depression as she continues through life.
This book was slow moving in my opinion. It only slightly took away from the story for me, but the writing made up for it. I would find myself relating to Esther, but in some cases it seemed exaggerated. I enjoyed the story, but because it took me so long, I didn't enjoy it as much as I probably would have.
